Sand Hill Technology is a research and consulting firm that helps with the creation of disruptive technologies and products. We work with emerging companies and investors.
We offer assistance to start-ups during all stages of taking ideas to products and deploying them in the market place. We help with finding creative solutions to challenges that arise and provide input on process and execution. We are committed to providing advice and help that gets results for our clients. We help with many of the typical challenges such as finding ways to meet difficult resource and time to market constraints, building the team and finding critical talent, meeting tight project goals when working with suppliers and development partners, which are not under direct control. We help with involving customers in the development of products when there aren't any real customers yet. We help with leading a project when the team feels uncertain research is involved while the business requires definite time lines.
We work with venture capital investors on technical due diligence, on screening of potential investments, and we provide advice on portfolio companies. Our main strength lies in areas of high value innovations and technologies that promise to impact industries in major ways, if not changing them. Technical domains include semiconductors, processors, memories, communications, control systems, and AI. We strive to provide a deep realistic understanding of a new technology, what it can and can't do, its potential, its risks, and the challenges it faces to replace existing products and gain major market share.
Sand Hill Technology was founded in Menlo Park by Rolf Fiebrich. We have assisted numerous early stage ventures and investors. Engagements included researching potential acquisition targets for a US telecom, helping with due diligence in areas like high performance computing, novel memory technologies, communications, computer graphics, and healthcare. We have assisted startups by serving on their advisory board and assisted with specific challenges like integrating an acquired software company into an established hardware company, finding key executives, exploring new applications for core technologies and inventions.
In previous roles, while leading research and development in start-ups and established corporations, we successfully pioneered and developed innovative technology products in areas of communications, control systems, high performance computing, IC development, computer aided design, and graphics. We built teams that were widely acknowledged to be among the best in the industry and we got products to market in development cycles rivaling the shortest known for products of comparable complexity. And, we consistently delivered results.
We leverage this experience when working with new ventures to help solve problems and challenges in both technical and business areas to increase their chances to be successful. When working with investors we strive to provide the best information available for them to assess risks and rewards.
